Customer-centric Service

At the beginning of 2014 we sent surveys to our clients to get a sense of what we did well last year. We were looking for feedback to determine current strengths and weaknesses. Specifically, to find out if there are particular marketing areas our clients are anxious to explore. We got lots of great info related to what we do well AND some areas for growth  — just like we asked for! (Don’t ask if you don’t want to know.) Interestingly, the topic of true customer service came up over and over again. (not to anyone’s surprise)...

Behind the Scenes

It’s always fun to go behind the scenes. We had a great time with Common Grounds Coffeeshop owner, Lori McCreary, earlier this week as we spent time learning more about her journey to business ownership in Lexington and how our client, Traditional Bank, has played such a significant role in that success. Throw in the fact that we even got freshly roasted beans… and that made the day epic! Thanks Lori, Traditional Bank and valued partners.

Project of the Week (Campaigns)

When long standing client, Traditional Bank, expressed interest in developing a new marketing campaign for late Summer 2013, we were excited to jump right in. As always, we started with a discovery meeting to establish objectives and to brainstorm possible concepts. The concept we all landed on was “picture this” — a direction that allowed the creative messaging to encourage the consumer to imagine themselves in a certain situation (new car, new house, remodel, home improvement) that aligned with the bank’s range of...

Project(s) of the Week – Publication Design

We’ve been cranking on all cylinders turning out some really nice publication design this quarter. Who says print is dead? Somebody forgot to tell our clients and we love it! Below are some screen grabs of recent design work done for YMCA of Central Kentucky (annual report) and a new publication published by the Kentucky Chamber. As you can tell, stylistically, they couldn’t be different. Which is what makes us different, by the way. Let us know how we can help you — whether it’s print or digital.        ...

Collaboration is Key

I just finished a meeting in preparation for a panel discussion that I will be participating in next week. My role on the panel will be a discussion about social media strategy and how churches and other organizations can use social media channels to engage, inform, etc. There’ll be others at the table talking about other digital platforms for organizational and operational success. This meeting got me thinking about the importance of collaboration and how beneficial and crucial it can be, especially if you are a smaller company. Do I...

Greetings friends and fellow advertising professionals… I wanted to take a moment to debrief from this year’s national American Advertising Federation conference… just as I did last year. First, some news. In case you did not know it yet, I am the Governor Elect for AAF District Five. What does that mean really? Well, in essence, I serve on the national board of directors as a liason for district five which includes Kentucky, West Virginia and Ohio. My role is to serve as the eyes and ears and advocate for all AAF members...
